aging in place home
For this project, we had to use universal planning considerations to design a home that would be used for a couple that is wanting to age in place and have time to spend with their grandchildren and to entertain.
We had to keep in mind seating arrangements should be functional and allow for wheelchair navigation. There is hard flooring to make it easy to get around no matter the way they get around.
In the kitchen there are 9” toe kicks and it maintains a 5 ft turning radius all around. There is a drawer dishwasher to make access easy.
